I hope that there is no nepotism or favoritism in The Sun's editorial staff. When I noticed that you folks gave one Michael P. DeCicco a 9-1/2 inch column on June 14, I began to wonder ("Nobody can deny it anymore: Obama is failing").
His comments were so weak that I felt more compassion than anger for him. But for The Sun to publish this mediocre epistle is shameful.
Mr. DeCicco dismisses the current president as inexperienced and quotes Ronald Reagan, then continues to wish for more experience and less good looks in our leaders.
Tell me what recent president inherited a failing economy, two wars and then an oil spill, in just 18 months as our leader?
I have dismissed Mr. DeCicco as a historical burden, but I will hold The Sun to a higher standard. Many of your "letters" are too trivial and devoid of facts. Epistles like Mr. DeCicco's should never be given that much reader space.
Please upgrade the sophistication in the editorial reader section, it demeans The Sun's editorial comments and your contributing writers.
