Elect those who support the constitution

Who are we America?

This is the question posed by the Fox News Channel's Glenn Beck last week. Whether you agree with his opinion or not, it is a question that each American should ask himself.

Are we willing to accept a country that will be shaped by global governance? Are we willing to give up our national sovereignty and individual liberties to a "one world government"? Are we willing to settle for mediocrity in all things so as not to appear superior to any other nation?

My humble opinion on this question is that I love my country just the way she is. At times America has faltered, but she remains the shining beacon for all. We have been the defender, the caregiver and the land where opportunities for all, allowing us to follow our dreams toward a better life. As an American, I have sacred rights that peoples of other nations long for. Much American blood has been shed to preserve these rights and the right of our nation to decide our own path. Our Constitution has prevailed for over 200 years and has served us well.

Now is the time for all of us to decide which path America will follow. My vote will reflect my feelings for my country. I will choose leaders and lawmakers who have a sincere and unwavering pride and respect for our magnificent nation and Constitution.

I encourage every citizen to consider what their vision for America is when casting their vote in November and again in 2012.
