What do angry voters really want?

It looks like voters are yet once again tired of Washington insiders and want to throw everyone out in Congress, as evidenced by Tuesday's elections. But I'm wondering what voters want to change.

Do they want to go back to the Bush era of trillion-dollar unnecessary wars? Perhaps they want a return to the "drill baby drill" policies that caused the cozy relationship between the Bush administration and Big Oil, resulting in lax regulations and the muffling of science to kill climate change initiatives. Maybe voters are yearning for the toothless enforcement of weak regulations against financial institutions, just like during the Bush years. If so, then voters can expect more wars, larger oil spills and environmental catastrophes, and another devastating financial collapse.
