A new strategy for the Orioles

In an article in today's Baltimore Sun, "Starting to look like his old self" (May 13), we read that Oriole pitcher Brad Bergesen was sent down to the Triple-A team in Norfolk April 19th. "In three starts since returning to the Orioles rotation, Bergesen is 3-0 with a 2.33 ERA and has allowed 18 hits and walked four in 19-1/3 innings. Bergesen (3-2) has lowered his ERA from 12.19 to 5.76 since returning."

Perhaps the Orioles would be a better team if they sent all of their pitchers to Norfolk for a few days. Better yet, why not bring the person responsible for Mr. Bergesen's turn around to Baltimore to work his magic. What the people in charge of the Orioles are doing now doesn't seem to be working.
