What a moronic editorial ("The devil wears tailored suits," April 29). Unsupported invective and innuendo combined with a total lack of understanding of the issues. Lloyd Blankfein is smart, and that is why he won't be writing any checks to the Securities and Exchange Commission, which will be wasting even more of the taxpayers' money than the Congressional gasbags have already wasted.

It was painfully obvious that half of the questioners were reading questions written by others — questions that they themselves didn't even understand (See: Sen. McCain). If that charade was supposed to educate the Congressional committee and/or the American people, it failed miserably. But it did succeed in what was almost certainly another goal — further diverting the attention of the American people from the central role played by the Congress in the housing debacle.
