In response to the editorial "Stumbling toward the top" (April 13) just hope that with Gov. Martin O'Malley's ties with Montgomery County, he'll be more successful at persuading Superintendent Jerry Weast that it's time to start playing on the team for the best of his school system as well as the entire state than he was in persuading the General Assembly to not be swayed by teacher union votes.
