I often get very upset when reading letters that quickly identify those who are out of touch with reality. But when reading Barbara McNamara's letter ("Democrats must go it alone," April 12), I perceived it to be satire. If not, no doubt, she has her head in a vacuum.

Rather then pick apart all of her comments, I have simply reversed two words throughout the letter, "Democrats" and "Republicans." Lo and behold, suddenly the letter began to make sense. Ms. McNamara, you state the "Democrats must go it alone." This is precisely what they have been doing, behind closed doors!
