If BOAST passes, displaced Catholic students should get priority

I generally agree with The Sun's editorial about the BOAST tax credit and the underlying value of this bill for providing assistance to private and public primary and secondary schools ("A boost for public and private schools," April 1). In view of the continually changing position of the archdiocese on how it now may (as opposed to will) assist the 2,000 children displaced by its apparently poorly planned closing of 13 schools, if the state is going to approve this bill, it should assure that the archdiocese assists those children left with no real Catholic school option before it spends what it gets on new programs.
