Maryland's ban on cell phone use is a long time overdue ("Ban on holding cell phones while driving gains in Senate," March 24). As many accidents as happen on Maryland roads each year, it is a sign that Maryland has finally opened their eyes. Some people can't drive while talking or texting. I have been a truck driver for 25 years. After driving up and down Interstate 95, I have seen people doing anything from talking on cell phones to texting . You name it. I have seen it all, and at the end of every accident, on the floor of the vehicle you will find a cell phone.
