D.C. Archdiocense right on benefits for gay spouses

For many years, there were laws in the United States and various states against homosexual activities. Over time these laws were eliminated. Did the activities change? No. Did the people who did these activities change? No. So why did these laws change? I don't know.

The Catholic Church was always against homosexual activities. That's not going to change. Women will never be priests. The Catholic Church's stand about killing unborn babies isn't going to change. I don't see why anyone is upset because the Catholic Church doesn't change because Washington D.C. changed its law ("Catholic Charities urged not to cut spouses' health benefits," March 5). By the way, if you look at the results of states voting to legalize same sex marriage, they are voting against it.
