I am writing in regard to the front page article on Sunday "Local closings loom in Catholic schools" (Feb. 28). I have several concerns about how transparent the Archdiocese of Baltimore is going to be in determining the outcome of our schools.
In deciding what schools would close or be modified, was the criteria equally applied to all schools? What guidelines were used to determine which principals and teachers would no longer be employed? Was this criteria equally applied to all schools? Did any conflicts of interest exist between the people making the decisions and close friends or relatives who are employed in the Catholic school system?
My last concern is how the tuition assistance has been distributed between those who are Catholic and those who are non-Catholic.
