President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had one year with a supermajority of Democrats in both houses, yet you attack the Republicans for potential filibusters ("The filibuster goes too far," Feb. 23). The issue is that, besides 4,000-plus pages of mostly added government costs and lawyers fees in the current Senate and House bills, the president has shown zero leadership. With a truely, as promised, bi-partisan approach, he could have had several Republicans on his side. Instead he has chosen to go to the far left and try to govern as if 60-70 percent of us don't exist. He and his elitist friends in Congress will pay for this foolish disregard for a majority of Americans at the polls in November.
