Man who flew plane into IRS building did not embody conservative values

Once again we have a liberal educator/columnist (Thomas F. Schaller) trying to connect the tea party and conservatives to this madman that flew his plane into the IRS building in Texas ("A double standard in what we define as 'terrorism,'" Feb. 23).

Although many of us conservatives feel the outrage of big government, e.g. the IRS, none of us would think about flying a plane into the building. We are tired of these big government, pro-tax, anti-gun, pro-abortion, non-terrorist-fighting eggheads telling us that this guy had conservative values. He did not. Even if he did, we do not accept these deranged people as one of us.

You liberals can keep trying to connect us to these types of people, but it is not working. The tea party and conservatism are here to stay. As a matter of fact, I encourage you to keep doing this. It only energizes us more and brings more and more independents over to our side. How does it feel to know that Sarah Palin will be the next President of the United States?
