There is no better news than having Scott Brown elected to Congress, and seniors are rejoicing. The Congressional Democrats just don't get it. It is difficult to understand why our Maryland Democrats would sacrifice and betray the trust of elderly citizens of Maryland and the USA. They have voted to take away $500 billion from our Medicare to fund Obamacare, which will only speed up Medicare's bankruptcy. Elderly people like me depend on Medicare and are at the end of our lives when we may need more care. We can't relive our lives to change the way we get our medical care. Taking our Medicare away from us is euthenizing us and telling us that we are no longer necessary.

The only answer seems to be that Maryland Congressional Democrats have been radicalized by the left and are blind followers of President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. I recently sent an e-mail to one of Maryland's senators questioning the reason for cutting Medicare. The response was a Democratic stock answer and did not address my concerns or those of my friends. It did not recognize the high cost that their proposals would have, the large increase in taxes and large cuts in Medicare. In the last statement it said they will continue to work in a bipartisan manner, by which they mean completely shutting Republicans out.

The only thing that stands between moving the USA to a socialist state are Republicans who want to create jobs through the private sector and want to reduce health care costs in a responsible way. Do not trust the Democrats -- they are just regrouping for their next attack and making plans to ram through their health care destruction through parliamentary maneuvers.
