While I understand and agree with the outrage and resentment expressed by Dan Rodricks, and echoed my many ("The crimes, forgiveable. But that pension?" Jan. 10), I think that it is misplaced. Sheila Dixon didn't construct the pension and judicial apparatus that allows her to collect that largesse. She is only one member of a long line of slimy pols, past and present, who have become expert at feathering their own nests at taxpayers' expense.

She'd be a fool not to accept the pension, and she's no fool.
