Jockey Rosie Napravnik will be sidelined four to six weeks after injuring her shoulder when the 4-year-old filly Socialbug was fatally injured during a workout Sunday morning at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., The Courier-Journal reported.
Napravnik, a former Maryland-based jockey, suffered a mild separation of the clavicle at the joint in the left shoulder, according to the Churchill Downs' press office, citing Napravnik's husband, Joe Sharp, and her marketing agent Kelly Wietsma.
The injury will not require surgery, but it knocks her out for the rest of the Churchill meet and she will miss riding Kentucky Oaks winner Untapable in Belmont Park's Mother Goose on June 28, the newspaper reported.
