Lardarius Webb, 29, took inspiration from the Academy Awards and other high-profile shows when he chose the tuxedo he had custom tailored to wear to the Ed Block Courage Awards Banquet this year.

"I saw a lot of guys on the awards shows [like] the Oscars. L.L. Cool J and a couple of actors. They had the new blue [tux] with the black [lapels]. I just loved it," said the Ravens cornerback, who was chosen by his teammates this year to receive the Ed Block award for demonstrating his resilience and grit in overcoming his injuries, in addition to the work he does with his Lardarius Webb Foundation, which helps underprivileged kids and their families. The foundation hosts charity football, softball, and bowling events, as well as turkey and toy drives at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

But fashion lovers might want to give him an award for his collection of about 150 to 200 pairs of footwear.

"I'm a shoe person. If my shoes are good, I don't really care about the brand of clothes," he said."The shoes have to pop. Just like with this suit. Great jacket. But, when you pop it with the shoes, it just makes it. It brings it to another level."

HIS ENSEMBLE: Custom-made tuxedo with black pants, and blue and black houndstooth jacket with black satin lapels by a private tailor. Custom-made tuxedo shirt with black enamel studs. Ed Block Courage Awards tie ("My choice would've been black. But, everybody has one on tonight.") Christian Louboutin black patent leather loafers covered in black spikes — "my red bottoms." Black diamond stud earrings. "I thought I'd go with the black diamonds tonight to go with the black [in the tux]. It just fit. The black diamonds are more formal." Super Bowl ring: "This, I don't get that many opportunities to wear. This was a perfect opportunity; a black tie event. This just finishes it off."

HIS NO-SOCK RULE: "With church or dress shoes, I do wear socks. But with loafers, I think you're not supposed to wear socks. I think you're just supposed to slip them on."

FAVORITE SHOE BRANDS: "Number 1, I'm a Jordan guy. I've been so since I was young. Balenciaga. Versace. Giuseppe [Zanotti]. Christian Louboutins — I love my red-bottom shoes. But I have all types of shoes, from Under Armour to Adidas, Reebok. If I like them, I'm going to get them."
