I think it is way past the time to enact legislation to require a federal ID system because I never know if my vote in Maryland can be compromised by someone who is not a citizen ("Messing with voting rights in Texas," Oct. 21).
I have read about the complaints, the costs and the rest, but most problems are resolvable. It is time for our legislators to work to resolve this problem in the next two years. Both parties, I might add.
This may help to unite American citizens and make us a stronger country.
