As a product and beneficiary of the "Greatest Generation" and a Vietnam era vet (fortunately, I didn't have to go), I can't quibble with the accolade except to point out that it was the members of the "Greatest Generation" who turned around and gave their children Vietnam ("Saluting Vietnam veterans," Nov. 11).
And then we Baby Boomers gave our children Iraq and Afghanistan. I shudder to think what lies ahead for our grandchildren.
