In regard to the Hippodrome's box office treasurer who said the recently-announced decision on tickets for the 2015-2016 season was "very fair" even if it means subscriber seats are moved "back seven rows," I believe Elaine Barco's comments were very insensitive and wrong ("Hippodrome sets new season, new renewal policy," Dec. 13).
I selected my seats because that is where my husband and I wanted to sit. And now she is changing them and telling us that they are improving the subscribers' experience. Like George Kimes and his wife, we were subscribers at the Mechanic and the Hippodrome for two decades only to be notified that we were being moved from Row L Seats 1 and 3 to Row Q Seats 17 and 19. We will not be renewing our subscription.
