I agree that the new slogan, "Baltimore: Birthplace of the Star-Spangled Banner," finally projects the image of Baltimore that most people, including visitors, like to see ("New Baltimore slogan nods to city's star-spangled history," Jan. 12).
Now, all we have to do is rid ourselves of the disrespectful interruption of shouting, "O," in the middle of its singing. Please, people, try to control your enthusiasm during the opening ceremonies and save it for the sporting event you are there to watch.
