Two shopkeepers' labors of love

I tip my hat to Sonny Morstein of Morstein Jewelers and David Tarlow of Tarlow furs ("Wave of multigenerational retailers in Baltimore close their doors," Nov. 16).

I've never had the pleasure of meeting Sonny, but I've known David as a fellow business owner, friend and customer for 28 years. Retail in this day and age is a labor of love. We don't do it to get rich, we do it because of the love and loyalty of our customers. Both of these fine men deserve a happy and healthy retirement.
