The Orioles had a winning season regardless of how far they got ("Orioles overachieved at times, but left us wanting more," Oct. 15). Each player gave his best. That's all you can ask of a person. The winning was not in the victory but in the effort.
The Orioles inspired all of us, old and young, to always do our best. Through sport, the Orioles taught us a very valuable lesson.
