TBS broadcasters are bird brains [Letter]

Does anyone else think the TBS broadcasters for the American League Divisional Series were completely negative and biased against Baltimore and the Orioles? I was so disappointed to read that the next American League Championship Series will be broadcast by TBS ("TBS comes through with another fine call of O's victory," Oct. 5)!

We have long heard from other visiting teams and TV folks about how much they love to come to Baltimore and its food, fans and beautiful ballpark. These guys frequently commented on how small Camden Yards is compared to the Detroit's home field. "Orioles certainly wouldn't have had all those home runs if they had played in larger stadiums" was a typical comment or "if they hit out to left field, it will take two cutoff throws to reach second base."

They also picked on the players suggesting that pitcher Bud Norris was easily distracted and that manager Buck Showalter "thinks (Delmon) Young is a good fielder, bless his heart."

I don't expect color commentators to be totally unbiased, but how about awarding the ALCS to a more friendly network?
