The important story about the Baltimore City State's Attorney's office is that any one prosecutor can be responsible for managing 130 active cases ("Mosby announces new leadership, strategies," Jan. 14).
That this is the case is certainly due to the under-funding of its operations, and the same situation is probably replicated in every other major jurisdiction in the state.
Secondly, there's never a time when prosecutors aren't in court with multiple cases. Your report implies that Ms. Mosby could have waited for a less busy time to make changes, but exactly when would that be?
