I am grateful to those who were in charge after 9/11 for taking actions to protect our country, me and my family and our way of life.
Recently, there have been political reports that disparage the leadership of the country during that 9/11 crisis ("The Senate torture report, Bush and Obama," Dec. 12). This is includes those who worked for the 9/11 decision makers. Those who carried out the hard adult necessary work have been disparaged by Democrats who are currently in authority.
The castigation for the decisions made on or just after 9/11 is cowardice on the part of those writing these reports. It does not surprise me although most of these Democrats were there on 9/11 when the hard decisions were made and didn't object then.
Now, they have found some false sense of bravado and moral indignation years after 9/11 decisions were made. Now, they say we should be ashamed for our behavior and actions after 9/11.
Many of those Democrats jeered and spit on and cursed returning servicemen when they came back from Vietnam. Now, they are the ones who are besmirching those that did what was necessary to protect our country after 9/11. Forgive my anger. Those same young anti-American socialist hypocrite Democrats of the 1960s are now in charge.
