Why does the letter from 47 Republican senators to Iran feel almost like it's bordering on treason to me ("The GOP's poison pen note," March 10)? I grew up during World War II, and people had to be careful about what they said in public about the war. Lips today seem to be a lot looser than they were then. Cavorting with the our enemy by going around our president would have been very bad. Imagine back then members of our Congress sending a letter like this to Hitler or Tojo. Something to think about.
