I was pleasantly surprised and encouraged for a better future for Maryland with Gov.-elect Larry Hogan's win. I was shocked by his choice as Marylander of the Year by the Sun Paper ("Marylander of the Year: Larry Hogan," Dec. 28).
While The Sun's vote of support of Lt. Governor Brown was ill advised at best, typically liberal at worst, I'm also hopeful that you'll support Mr. Hogan in his quest to repair the damage that the O'Malley administration has inflicted on the state.
Maryland has the potential to be a great state. Please put your liberal ideology aside and help Mr. Hogan turn Maryland into the envy of the country.
