Here's how to fix the Hippodrome seating issue

Here is an idea for the Hippodrome seating issue ("Hippodrome feels the heat from reseating process," Dec. 19). How about reducing the capacity of the theater, removing all the uncomfortable cramped seats with poor sight lines and installing modern theater seating? Imagine a theater experience where patrons didn't have to crane their necks to see the stage and could actually sit in a seat that was wide enough with ample leg room. This is 2015, not 1940. Oh, and by the way, fewer seats would mean more sold out shows and happier patrons. Historical integrity is nice, but times change and audiences want comfort these days.
