Democrats have something to prove, not Republicans

Apparently, The Sun wants it's readers to believe that the 2013 government shutdown over Obamacare was an "unmitigated disaster" for the Republican party politically ("Pass the spending bill," Dec. 1). That's really funny considering the fact that the Republicans battered the Democrats in the 2014 election. The Sun also opined that if House Speaker John Boehner succeeds in passing a budget he will have sent a message to voters that the GOP can be trusted to act like grown-ups. Hmm ... again, it seems to me the voters have more confidence in the grown-up behavior of Republicans evidenced by their overwhelming victory in this last election. I think, maybe, the Democrats are the ones who have something to prove, not the Republicans. Don't ya think?
