Commentator Eddie Zipperer recently offered three arguments why conservatives should embrace same-sex marriage ("The conservative case for same-sex marriage," March 29).
In refuting the argument that "the Bible defines marriage as being between a man and a woman" his response is "So what? Reality dictates definitions; definitions do not dictate reality."
Says who? Mr. Zipperer implies that many conservatives agree with him. How about some facts to back that up?
With all his knowledge and wisdom, the question I have for Mr. Zipperer is that if what he says is true, then why did God make men and women so anatomically different? That is the reality.
After all, He could have made them different colors (men red and women blue) but with the same physical attributes. But He didn't.
That's at least one reason why the Bible defines marriage as being between a man and a woman.
