The real story on Brown/Hogan campaign spending

By combining the campaign spending expenditures of Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Larry Hogan in the headline, The Sun missed the big story ("Hogan, Brown spent a combined $24 million," Nov. 20).

What's more important is that Mr. Brown, the loser, spent $10.8 million with a staff of 207 while his opponent, Mr. Hogan, only spent $2.6 million with a staff of 16, according to statistics reported by WBAL.com.
