Regarding your editorial on the Ferguson grand jury decision not to indict police officer Darren Wilson, if Michael Brown had been white, the outcome would have been the same in the sense that he would have ended up dead ("Ferguson's grievance," Nov. 25).
However, there would have been no riots and no demonstrations, because if a white man had been killed by police it wouldn't have mattered.
The bottom line is, no matter what color a person is the important thing is their behavior. Mr. Brown robbed a convenience store. Is that good behavior? He tried to defy a police officer. Is that good behavior?
This is not a black and white issue. It is a matter of good behavior or bad behavior. Why is no one listening? If Mr. Brown had behaved himself he would be alive today.
