To all who thought changing the makeup of Congress might result in some actual work getting done in a cooperative spirit, incoming Iowa Republican Sen. Joni Ernst has given us our answer: "We are going to make them squeal" ("Republicans seize control of U.S. Senate," Nov. 5).
My only confusion over her meaning is whether she was referring to the Democrats in particular or to everyone else in general except the wealthy few in this country. I guess we'll soon find out.
