Your recent article oil train derailments omitted one important fact ("4 oil train derailments raise questions about safety claims," March 15).
The article described the increasing numbers of derailments, explosions and fires created as volatile Bakken Field oil is transported in 100-car trains.
What it did not say is that Maryland and Baltimore will become a bulls-eye for these rolling time bombs if a proposed rail to-barge transshipment facility at Curtis Bay is approved.
There have been 13 accidents in the U.S and Canada since 47 people were burned to death in Quebec in 2013. Will Baltimore be next?
