I read the recent articles in The Sun regarding the circumstances of Larry Hogan's victory over Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown ("Hogan and Brown: tortoise and hare?" Nov. 12). Mr. Brown lost to Mr. Hogan for a few very simple reasons. Mr. Brown ran a totally negative campaign against Mr. Hogan which only helped make the public more aware of Mr. Hogan.
Mr. Brown demonstrated that he accomplished nothing in his eight years as lieutenant governor. The public was totally disgusted with the administration of Gov. Martin O'Malley and Mr. Brown.
Mr. Brown's loss had nothing to do with race, only public distaste for the administration he was part of.
