Hogan is the better choice

The Maryland governor's race indeed presents a difficult choice, but it is no surprise that The Sun gave its endorsement to Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown ("Brown for governor," Oct. 25).

The day that The Sun holds a Democrat accountable for keeping his or her promises will be a day late and a dollar short.

Just take a minute and read the gibberish in your endorsement: "Mr. Brown is well versed in state government, and his views are clear; he has a 16-year record as a lieutenant governor and delegate. His promise to make Maryland the No. 1 business climate in the nation may sound laughable, given Mr. O'Malley's evident disinterest in the topic, but Mr. Brown is a different person with different experiences."

What? Mr. Brown has spent 16 years as a lemming, and the launch of Maryland's health insurance exchange website is evidence of that. If Mr. Brown were put in charge of the Sahara Desert there would be a shortage of sand within four years.
