The story "Chicago-based firm to lead federal review of Baltimore police" (Dec. 26) is unbelievably ridiculous for a couple of reasons. First, a Chicago based firm is to come to Baltimore to criticize and evaluate the Baltimore City Police Department on crime! Chicago is probably the most lawless, crime ridden big city in the nation.
Second, the citizens of Baltimore should really feel great about having "the full weight of the Justice Department" behind this too! That would be the same "Justice" Department that refused to prosecute the Black Panthers for blatantly obvious and clearly criminal behavior in intimidating white voters! I don't know about you, but that "Justice" Department scares the hell right out of me!
