Theodore B. Reichhart, mortgage banker, dies

Theodore B. Reichhart, a mortgage banker and recreation council coach, died of brain cancer June 17 at his parents' farm in Sparks. He was 37.

The son of Theodore E. "Chip" Reichhart, a mortgage banker, and Susan Hessler Reichhart, an interior designer, Theodore Brett Reichhart was born in Baltimore and raised in Fallston and Sparks.

He was a 1997 graduate of Fallston High School and received a bachelor's degree in 2001 from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Va., where he played lacrosse for four years and was team captain for two years.

Mr. Reichhart, who was known as Brett, began his mortgage banking career at First Tennessee Bank and since 2010 had been a senior loan officer with First Home Mortgage Corp.

The Parkton resident did extensive volunteer work for the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors and other affiliated industry groups. In 2015, he was named the GBBR Affiliate of the Year.

Mr. Reichhart continued to play club lacrosse and coached soccer and lacrosse for the Hereford Recreation Council even after receiving his cancer diagnosis, said his mother.

A memorial service for Mr. Reichhart will be held at 11 a.m. July 12 at Hunt Valley Church, 13015 Beaver Dam Road, Cockeysville.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Reichhart is survived by his wife of 10 years, the former Lauren Gobeli; a son, Aiden Chase, 7; a daughter, Caris Sienna, 5; and a sister, Kendell Adair Reichhart of Monkton.
