Linda Ann Fast, a retired elementary school teacher and Ravens fan, died of congestive heart failure March 27 at the University of Maryland Medical Center. The Lutherville resident was 64.
Born Linda Ann Kane in Hartford, Conn., and raised in West Hartford, she earned a bachelor's degree at Muskingum University in Ohio.
She taught in Connecticut before moving to Lutherville in 1981. While raising her children, Mrs. Fast became an in-home day care provider. She later returned to the classroom and taught at Evangel Christian Academy in Golden Ring and later at St. Dominic School in Hamilton. She then joined the faculty of the Immaculate Conception School in Towson. She retired in 2011.
Mrs. Fast was a Ravens fan. She also participated in Young Life of Baltimore County. She was a bird watcher and cat fancier.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hunt Valley Church, 13015 Beaver Dam Road, where she was a member.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 37 years, Michael A. Fast, a retired director of engineering for WCBM radio; a son, Michael Fast of Lutherville; and two daughters, Sarah Fast of Timonium and Susan Pulizzi of St. Louis.
