Stanley Pianowski, a department store buyer and Baltimore County Liquor Board administrator, died May 28. He was 87.

Clare Leon Milton Jr., a chemical engineer who was among the founders of classical music programming on WBJC-FM, died Thursday. He was 104.

Terry Thompson, a lifelong resident of Clarksville who dedicated his livelihood to emergency services, died May 16 at Howard County General Hospital. He was 71.

William G. ”Hotzie” Hotz Sr., a Baltimore Sun photographer and Navy veteran, died May 18 at his Berlin, Worcester County, home. He was 85.

Frank R. Cutko, a referee and umpire who taught physical education, died May 20 at his son’s home in Bowdoinham, Maine. He was 90.

Anna Mae Small, a Westinghouse clerk who changed careers and became a successful dog groomer, died May 9 at Oakcrest, a retirement community. She was 81.
