Correction

An obituary published for Daisy Alverda "Bert" Booth in Monday's editions incorrectly stated that she was the first woman to be elected to the House of Delegates from Baltimore County. In fact, the first elected delegate from the county was Dorothy J. Miller, a lawyer. She was elected in 1950.

The Baltimore Sun regrets the error.
