Beverly L. Wilson, a longtime Sunday school teacher and homemaker, died Jan. 12 of complications from Alzheimer's disease at Esther's Place, a Northeast Baltimore assisted-living facility.
The longtime Carney resident was 81.
The daughter of a general store owner and a homemaker, Beverly Lorraine Rodabaugh was born and raised in Glen Burnie, where she graduated in 1947 from Glen Burnie High School.
She was married in 1950 to Charles "Buzz" Wilson Jr., a businessman and owner of Wilson Van Lines, who died in 1975.
Mrs. Wilson was an active member for 55 years of Arnolia United Methodist Church, where she had taught Sunday school for 34 years.
She was a Worthy Matron of the Towson chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a world traveler and enjoyed collecting ceramic peacocks and cups and saucers during her travels.
Mrs. Wilson, who had lived at Esther's Place for the last 16 years, had been an animal lover and at one time had dogs and a monkey, family members said.
Services were private.
Surviving are a son, Charles "Chuck" Wilson III of Palm Beach, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
