'Diner' moves forward

Continuing what its backers hope will be a successful walk-up to a run on Broadway, the musical stage play of local boy Barry Levinson’s set-in-Baltimore 1982 film “Diner,” written by Levinson and with songs by Sheryl Crow, is enjoying a December engagement at the Delaware Theatre Company in Wilmington, Del. This marks the second run for “Diner,” which premiered in December 2014 at Signature Theatre in Arlington, Va. No word yet on any planned performances in its city of origin.
