'The Wire' reunion

Proving that their tenure on HBO’s landmark series about life on the streets of Baltimore meant more to them than just a paycheck, cast members from the show reunited during Artscape for a performance and public forum addressing issues arising from the protests and unrest following the death of Freddie Gray. Among those on hand were Sonja Sohn, Michael K. Williams, Andre Royo and Larry Gilliard Jr. “I feel that it is my responsibility to use whatever platform I've got to shine light on the people and the problems they face,” Williams said. “In the eight years I was here, I saw a lot of positives. I saw a lot of potential. And I saw a whole lot of passion.”
