Sunshine, wind chills in 20s, 30s Monday

Temperatures more than 15 degrees below normal are expected in Baltimore on Monday, with highs around 40 degrees amid sunny skies.

The morning was expected to start off with temperatures in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Winds of 15-20 mph were expected to make it feel like the lower to mid-20s overnight, and in the lower 30s by the afternoon.

Mostly sunny skies were expected until the afternoon, with clouds moving in by Monday night.

Snow was expected to move into the region by early Tuesday morning, with 1-3 inches of accumulation possible. Temperatures were expected in the lower to mid-30s throughout the day, meaning snow accumulation could be largely restricted to grassy surfaces.

Highs Tuesday are forecast in the upper 30s, with lows in the lower 20s.

Wednesday was expected to be windy and cold, but sunny. Winds could reach 25 mph with gusts up to 35-40 mph through Wednesday afternoon, keeping wind chills in the teens in the early morning and 20s through the afternoon. Lows Wednesday night were expected in the lower 20s.

Temperatures were expected to rebound Thursday, with highs around 50, still several degrees below normal. Friday could reach the mid-60s with chances for rain showers.
