After stretch of freezing days, relief is coming to Baltimore

Baltimore could soon thaw out after a stretch of freezing days.

But before it does, residents will have to get through Saturday, with temperatures remaining in the teens. At 7 a.m. some areas north and west of the city were still in single digits.

“The combination of very cold conditions, light winds, and areas of fog will enhance the threat for icy spots on roadways through Saturday morning,” the National Weather Service warned.

By nightfall, patchy and dense fog is possible throughout the region.

The weather service forecasts warmer weather will arrive Sunday.

Temperatures could reach 48 degrees Sunday before rising into the mid-50s on Monday and Tuesday.
