The Darkroom

Renaissance Festival filled with Kings and Queens

The Baltimore Sun

Brimming with colorful costumes, the Village of Revel Grove is home to sword fights, magicians, jugglers and The Royal Court, as they kick-off the 42nd season of The Maryland Renaissance Festival in Crownsville.

This year’s story line, which is set in 1592, follows the story of King Henry VIII wanting his marriage to Catherine of Aragon to be annulled, so he can marry Anne Boleyn.

With plenty of entertainment, food, artisans and the traditional jousting tournament there is no shortage of things to do and see. The festival runs from August 25th through October 21st.
