I'm about to have a “get-out-of-my-yard” moment. When I opened the WKND section of The Sun recently, the cover was for a holiday tradition called Krampus (“The Santa-free guide to celebrating the holidays in Baltimore,” Dec. 7). I never heard of it.
This past Friday, the WKND section had a cover story of graffiti in restrooms, specifically a toilet and the surrounding artwork (“Behind the hidden art of Baltimore’s bathroom graffiti,” Dec. 13). It was gross. If you want to write an article about it, fine, but to make it the cover of the weekend section was questionable.
There are plenty of activities happening in December that would have been more suitable. Is this a ploy to attract millennials? These lead stories are not attractive to this 50-plus subscriber.
