The Baltimore Sun recently reported that millions of people in Maryland could lose health insurance because of the Trump administration’s attacks on the Affordable Care Act (“Report: Millions in Maryland could lose health coverage or pay more because of feds' Obamacare stance,” Oct. 2).This is exactly the wrong approach.
As a CEO, I don't understand why people don't see the business reasons to protect and strengthen the health care system. Proposals to replace the Affordable Care Act from the extreme right and left in Congress are a bad idea. I wish Congress and the administration would use the ACA as a foundation and build upon it, because people need the health care system to be stable.
